February General Meeting

The Cocoa Beach Woman’s Club gathered on February 5, 2026, for a productive and inspiring monthly meeting filled with celebration, service updates, and exciting plans for the months ahead.

A Patriotic and Purposeful Start

President Marge Jones called the meeting to order, and members proudly stood for the Pledge of Allegiance led by this month’s wonderful hostesses. After confirming a quorum, members approved the January meeting minutes and moved into officer reports.

Highlights:

In her President’s Report, Marge shared several important updates. The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) Annual Convention will take place June 26–29, 2026, in Scottsdale, Arizona—an exciting opportunity for members to connect on a national level.

Closer to home, the club is preparing to host the GFWC Florida District 6 Art Show on February 27. Members were encouraged to sign up, attend, and support this special event.

Marge also extended heartfelt thanks to members who:

Participated in Junior Achievement Day at Cape View Elementary

Attended the January Social

Supported Purses for a Purpose

A proud moment for the club was announcing Julia George as CBWC’s Volunteer of the Year. The District-level winner will be revealed at the February 27 meeting.

Members were also reminded that the Cocoa Beach Senior Center will host a Resource Fair on February 16, and Gala tickets are officially on sale.

Membership & Social Events

Second Vice President Missy Barley introduced guests and warmly inducted new member Tracey Sabby into the club. We are thrilled to welcome her!

Looking ahead, members are invited to a special social event—a tour of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse on February 28. Security forms are due by February 17.

Special appreciation was given to February’s hostesses, and March hostesses were announced in preparation for next month’s gathering.

Looking Ahead

As always, members were reminded to log their volunteer hours and donations—an essential part of documenting the incredible community impact of the Cocoa Beach Woman’s Club.

The next meeting will be held on March 5, 2026.

With continued enthusiasm, service, and sisterhood, the club looks forward to another meaningful month of making a difference in our community.
