Holding the position of State Committee Chairman, Julia consistently goes above and beyond in her commitment to GFWC FL, representing our club with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
Julia actively participates in the GFWC FL Convention, attending all days and fully engaging by serving on committees, workshops, and working sessions—not simply attending, but contributing meaningfully to the success of the convention. Her leadership extends locally and district-wide as she chairs the Arts and Culture Committee at both the club and district levels, ensuring programs are well-organized, impactful, and aligned with GFWC goals.
A passionate advocate for member engagement and education, Julia leads Membership Orientation for both new and existing members, ensuring that all members understand how our club fits into the larger structure and mission of GFWC. She regularly reminds members of their rights and responsibilities by offering parliamentary guidance and reviewing our bylaws, helping maintain clarity, transparency, and effective governance within the club.
Julia serves on the Fashion Show Committee, where she is responsible for ticket sales and assists with event signage, contributing significantly to the success of this important fundraiser. She also created our 60th Anniversary video presentation, combining creativity, historical knowledge, and technical skill to produce a meaningful tribute to our club’s legacy.
Committed to continuous learning, Julia attends webinars on a wide range of topics and actively encourages fellow members to do the same. She conducts Annual Report writing workshops for members, clearly explaining best practices and the most effective strategies for award recognition. Her guidance has empowered members to approach reporting with confidence and purpose.
Julia is always willing to offer support across club projects, including Bingo, Children’s Hunger initiatives, and other service efforts. During committee meetings, she contributes both historical perspective and fresh ideas, helping committees honor tradition while exploring new and innovative approaches. She also actively explores opportunities to partner with other organizations, including community groups and GFWC sister clubs, to expand our reach and impact.
In all that she does, Julia strives to be a resource to club leadership—offering insight, support, and encouragement whenever needed. Her dedication, institutional knowledge, creativity, and collaborative spirit make her an invaluable asset to our club.
