CBWC Supports Citizens Academy with Delicious Four-Course Potluck

On April 8th, over 20 members of the Cocoa Beach Woman’s Club (CBWC) came together to provide a hearty and diverse four-course potluck meal for the hungry and hardworking members of the Citizens Academy Class of 2025 and their government presenters. This event marked the final class before their upcoming graduation on Tuesday.

A heartfelt thank-you goes out to everyone who donated their time, money, and culinary talents to make this annual tradition a success. We were delighted to learn that one of our newest members, Nancy Haugh, is currently enrolled in this valuable program. Be sure to ask Nancy about her experience the next time you see her!

CBWC President Marge Jones took the opportunity to introduce the class to our organization. In her presentation, she shared the rich history of the club, highlighted our many contributions to the Cocoa Beach community, and spoke about the causes we support. She also announced our upcoming 60th Anniversary Gala and extended an open invitation to the class to reach out if they ever need our support with local projects. Marge concluded by sharing ways to stay connected with us—via Facebook, our website, and through CBWC business cards distributed during the event.

A special thank-you goes to Rachel Tate, Administrative Assistant to the Chief of Police (and daughter of Julie Kabboord), and Tanya from the Police Department. Both went above and beyond in helping us set up the tables and took the lead in cleaning up afterward.

We’re so grateful for their support!
