A wonderful welcome back to 2025, 56 members and three guests were at our January meeting.
January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month – an important time to reflect on the resilience of trafficking survivors and recognize the efforts of those who work tirelessly to prevent and eliminate this inhumane and devastating form of abuse and exploitation.
GFWC’s Signature Programs is Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention.
We were lucky to have Jenny Pruitt come and talk to us about Human Trafficking, and her involvement with IamaFreedomFighter.org.
Coming up is the 2nd Annual Light The Darkness 5K, January 18th, 5.30pm. You can still get involved https://runsignup.com/Race/FL/CocoaBeach/LighttheDarkenss
Thank you Andrea Bastien for organizing.

We then were able to install Joanne Tercovich, here with her sponsor Clare Jones and Wendy Gordon.

It was nice to welcome Sally Kramer, District 6 Director to our meeting, here with Carol Kruse.

This January 9,2025 we held the Arts and Culture show. We had so many amazing pieces of art created by our very own members, displayed for all to enjoy.
Ms. Maria Tomacari, art teacher from Roosevelt Elementary School, was gracious enough to jury our show.

Ms. Tomacari could not get over how detailed, amazing and talented our Women’s Cub was and had a very hard time deciding between 1st and 2nd place.

Good luck to all our talented members.
During our January meeting, all members were asked to color and create a unique puzzle piece which will be assembled and put together into a large puzzle, mounted in a double sided glass frame with our logo on the back and entered into the District Meeting Art Show February 21.
It was an exercise in creativity, sisterhood, community and cooperation. Thank you Julia George for involving our Club in this wonderful group project.
