SPECIAL OLYMPICS 2024 Torch Icon Campaign

The 2024 Torch Icon Campaign at Publix officially started January 12th!

Three Cocoa Beach Woman’s Club Members, Marilyn Grigsby, Carol Kruse and Pam Johnson, President) were on hand to start the official 2024 Special Olympics Torch Campaign. We posed with Nic Murray, Customer Service Manager, Dee Carter, and Liam Rushin on the first day of the Campaign.

The Publix that we are representing actually has 3 separate displays. Here is a list of reminders for you. This campaign runs until the 22nd of this month and each and everyone has a chance to contribute.

When you are shopping, find a display and a Publix employee, have someone snap your picture.

Send them to Pam Johnson with the name of the employee and their title. Pam will forward them to our Special Olympics representative and log in on our spreadsheet. The more participation we have, the better for our adopted store and indeed for us.

The Publix that is best represented will win a pizza party for Publix and their representatives (THE COCOA BEACH WOMAN’S CLUB).

Here is step by step what to do:

Go to store (individually or as a group)

  • Find a display
  • Find an employee
  • Snap a picture
  • Send Pam picture with date, employee name, employee title
  • If the store requests any help, report to Pam Johnson at 321-693-1580 or pjwalco@verizon.net and Pam will make sure it gets to the appropriate person.

Remember to have fun and thank the employees for all they do during this time at Publix!
