This January General Meeting we were able to welcome Cocoa Beach Mayor, Keith Capizzi.

Joan Friedman, Civic Engagements and Outreach Chair, kindly arranged for Keith to come and talk to us about what’s happening in Cocoa Beach and what we can expect in the next few years. He graciously let us have quite a vigorous question and answer session too!

The Woman’s Club are now in a famous Mayor selfie!

After meeting the Mayor, we were treated to another surprise. Diane Kirschenbaum (a guest but joining in February) – presented on behalf of her husband Jack, (Chair, Freedom Forum Nominating Committee), a donation of $2500 from the Freedom Forum.

The Freedom Forum are a non partisan, 501c non profit, who champion our First Amendment Rights. One of those rights is Right to Assembly, of which the ladies of Cocoa Beach Woman’s Club benefit from each and every month, something we take for granted, but in other countries would not be possible.
