The Health & Wellness CSP would love for you to get your steps in!

One of our goals this year is that you take more steps to improve your health.

Walking for fitness can help you:

  • Control your blood pressure.
  • Lose or maintain weight.
  • Improve balance and coordination.
  • Increase core strength.
  • Manage stress and improve mood by releasing endorphins.
  • Manage your diabetes.
  • Reduce the risk of a heart attack.
  • Reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.

There are 3 local 5k events happening soon and not only is this a great way to get some exercise there are also volunteer opportunities for the club.

You can take part in Race Bag Preparation on November 12th which is a Sunday from 12 noon to 2 pm, and/or even Packet pickup and registration at Friday Fest in downtown Cocoa Beach, time frame 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm!

Cocoa Beach Turkey Trot, Thu November 23, 2023 has volunteer spots on pre-race days and on the day itself. Click the button to sign up to help out or contact Celeste for CBWC group activities.

Want to run / walk the race – sign up here.. You won’t be alone, a few of us will be taking part and you are welcome to wear a costume! It’s a fun way to see your neighborhoods and see lots of people you know out on Thanksgiving morning.
