We have a great volunteer opportunity on Saturday, September 16th from 8am-Noon to participate in the Marine Resources Council Annual Coastal Cleanup Day to help remove trash and debris from the shorelines of the Indian River Lagoon. Last year’s event resulted in the removal of 8,223 pounds of litter from lagoon shorelines.

When you are registering, make sure to select tickets for the Cleanup site named:
520/West Cocoa Beach Causeway. That site is the closest to us.
At the end of the registration process, there is a button for “Organizer Questions” where they ask for Job Title and Company. Under Company, if you write Cocoa Beach Womens Club, it will help identify us as a group!
The link above provides all the information about the event, what to wear, what to bring, etc.
This is a great volunteer opportunity for spouses, friends and family members to participate as well. Although the event runs from 8am-Noon, there is no specific time commitment; we do what we can!
